From there the trails open up.
You will climb ridgelines with views across southern West Virginia. You will ride through hardwood forests and along old mining roads that wind through the mountains. Some sections are smooth and fast. Others challenge your driving skills with rock climbs and technical turns.

By midday you stop at scenic overlooks or trail towns for a break, then head back out for more miles before the sun starts dropping behind the mountains.
